I manage some sites and have a few of my own small business sites, and seem to have neglected this one. (just checked my stats, and had 47 unique visitors today, which I thought was nice of everyone.) I am also on the first page of Google for the term "hair stylist sweatpants" which is fitting because we make the best screen printed sweatpants.
I want to do something artistic or at least different from my other sites here... maybe I'll keep it as a blog seeing that it gets hits as it is and I don't want to ruin it.
Not much has changed, but everything has improved steadily over the year, so how can I complain? I joined a bowling league, and my game is finally improving, which is good because I am on a pretty competitive team and have been testing everyone's patience.
My golf game took a real turn for the better right at the end of the season, if the world doesn't end in a few days I look forward to the coming season's tournaments.
Music- the reggae band that I was in a few years ago got back together, then fell apart, now is back together again with one personnel change. The old singer was good, but the new guy brings a lot of versatility and can rap, so we're looking forward to seeing where that goes. We're looking to link up with other RI reggae bands to put together a big show, or possibly do some festivals this summer. The Newport reggae fest sure would be a good one....
That's another reason we're lucky to have the singer we do now...huge connections in "the scene", looks like it will lead to some interesting opportunities.

The last blog was about the first 2 classes of the CCRI motorcycle course, which consisted of one 3 hour class and a 5 hour riding range.
The second classroom session was longer than I thought it was going to be, but still very informative. We went through the book answering questions as a class, and then had the test. It was super easy if you paid attention, I scored 100 and am pretty sure everyone else did well also.
The second riding range was INTENSE. There were up to three times as many instructors on the course, because there were new instructors there getting trained and helping out. They basically went through everything you did with a fine toothed comb and let you make adjustments until you got it right. I wouldn't say it was hard, but was definitely more challenging than last time.
The instructors' exercises this time focused on real world situations such as:
getting on an on-ramp
making U-turns (the hardest one for me because it's low speed maneuvering)
driving over obstacles
Many of us were under the impression that all of the instructors that were evaluating us were also grading us, but we found out later that the test was the last 45 minutes of class. Once again, not extremely difficult, but some of it was indeed challenging to this first timer.
The test went through the cornering/acceleration, lane changing, and U-turn. It went by pretty fast, and while I don't think I scored as well as I did on the written test, we all passed.
If anyone finds this blog useful, and wants my book from class, let me know. When I Googled the CCRI Motorcycle class and saw that there were no detailed descriptions on what exactly to expect, I figured I would write one about my experience. I hope it helps.
